1/4/13 - Completion of New Building Celebrated with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The International Agri-Center held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for a brand new exhibit building which will make its debut next month at World Ag Expo.  The new 60,000-square-foot steel span exhibit building in the northeast corner of the International Agri-Center grounds will be utilized for World Ag Expo, February 12-14, and for year-round events.

Today's event was attended by International Agri-Center volunteers, board members and staff, as well as other community leaders.  Guest speakers included: David Macedo , Mayor of Tulare; Pete Vander Poel III, Tulare County Board of Supervisors; Assemblywoman Connie Conway, 26th Assembly District; Jerry Sinift, Chief Executive Officer, International Agri-Center; Fred Foster, Chief Financial Officer, International Agri-Center and Ron Overracker, Structures Plus.

"Building C is ready for this year's World Ag Expo, and we are really excited about that," said Jerry Sinift, the International Agri-Center's CEO.  "This is part of our continued commitment to improve our facilities for World Ag Expo and for the community to utilize for year-round events."

The International Agri-Center's show grounds are utilized for annual events such as World Ag Expo and the California Antique Farm Equipment Show, as well as for weddings, concerts, fundraisers, business meetings, trainings and community events throughout the year. The new building will seat 1,200 to 1,400 people for concerts and other large events such as car shows or fundraisers.

During World Ag Expo, the new building will be home to the same types of agricultural exhibitors who occupied the old pavilion, but in a more comfortable and modern structure. World Ag Expo exhibitors and attendees will enjoy concrete floors, permanent restrooms and more.
