Wells Fargo Team Members Present Ag Warriors with $10,000 Donation

title

A yearly giving program by Wells Fargo’s Central California team members benefited the International Agri-Center’s Ag Warriors program today at a check presentation in Tulare, California.  The money raised by the community support campaign, organized by a group of Fresno based employees, will directly benefit veterans.

“Our goal is to help veterans find rewarding careers in the agriculture industry,” said Jerry Sinift, International Agri-Center CEO.  “This generous donation from Wells Fargo’s employees will go directly towards helping veterans who truly deserve our support.”

The Ag Warriors program assists veterans who return to civilian life in search of careers in the agriculture industry.  The program works by connecting veterans with potential employers and resources to assist them with finding long-term opportunities.

“We pride ourselves on being the ‘community bank’, and it’s important to give back to the community we serve,” said Ken Ramos, President, West Coast Business Banking Central Division.  “Through efforts by our team members, we were able to raise more than $10,000 for Ag Warriors—a program we definitely believe in.”

Fundraising events organized by Wells Fargo team members included a pancake breakfast, live auction, a barbecue and an ice cream social.  The funds were raised by the 300 team members who work in the (name) building.

“Involvement this year surpassed all other years because our team members loved that it was benefiting veterans through the Ag Warriors program,” said Sheri Schmidt, Central Division Business Banking.  “This year’s campaign was a lot of fun and we were happy to come together as a team to show the true spirit of community support.”
