CCOF and Demeter Biodynamic-approved plant protection solution showcases third-party greenhouse trial results for commercial growers
TULARE, Calif., Feb. 10, 2026 — Lost Coast Plant Therapy, a family-owned manufacturer of an eco-friendly plant protection solution, will exhibit at World Ag Expo (Booths 3922 and 3923). The company will share third-party trial results and discuss organic and biodynamic options for commercial growers seeking alternatives to conventional pesticides.
Lost Coast Plant Therapy is a 25(b) minimum-risk pesticide that is approved for use by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) and permitted for certified organic production in California, Florida and Wisconsin, with additional state approvals available upon request. The product is also approved for use on Demeter Biodynamic Certified farms, meeting some of the most rigorous agricultural standards worldwide.
At World Ag Expo, the company will highlight results from independent greenhouse trials conducted in collaboration with Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). The trials evaluated curative efficacy against powdery mildew and insect pressure on tomato, melon and hemp crops.
Based on the Cornell CALS trial data, Lost Coast Plant Therapy demonstrated 97–99 percent efficacy against powdery mildew and thrips (depending on crop and application rate), with strong suppression observed following repeat applications and thorough plant coverage.
“Growers need solutions that work quickly without leaving harmful residues behind,” said Heather Smith, co-founder of Lost Coast Plant Therapy. “We designed Lost Coast Plant Therapy to help control powdery mildew and soft-bodied insects on contact while supporting growers who want to protect beneficial insects and pollinators.”
Lost Coast Plant Therapy is formulated with biodegradable, food-grade and cosmetic-grade ingredients and undergoes parts-per-billion laboratory testing. When
used as directed, it is suitable for use on food, ornamental and medicinal crops and is designed to support operational efficiency with a zero-hour re-entry interval, per label.
World Ag Expo attendees are invited to visit Booths 3922 and 3923 to review trial data, discuss organic and biodynamic compliance and learn more about application best practices.
